Dick, I appreciate the Scriptures you quoted. Matthew 24:23–24, Galatians 1:6–9, Acts 20:29, and Ezekiel 22:27 all give strong warnings that many who claim to represent Christ will distort the gospel, mislead the flock, and cause real spiritual harm. Believers must measure every message and messenger against Jesus and the Gospel.


Scripture consistently teaches that the test of a messenger is not zeal, tradition, or sincerity, but whether their teaching aligns with the truth revealed by Christ Jesus and His Apostles.


Because of that, I think it’s important to bring in another passage that complements the verses you highlighted — Deuteronomy 18:20–22. It provides one of the clearest biblical standards for evaluating anyone who claims to speak for God. When…
